Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What’s so special about Kihei?

Instead of staying in a formal resort and paying resort prices you will find that Kihei is a quaint beach town next to Wailea with all its own charm. It is a great family town with parks, volleyball, tennis, swimming, surfing, snorkeling, SCOBA diving, jogging, windsurfing, paragliding, boat cruises, and biking. Nature is all around in a perfect blend with civilization. There are clubs for dancing and great restaurants from very fancy formal dining to outstanding intimate bistros, as well as gourmet plate lunch trucks. You will never go hungry. If you want to do your own cooking, there is a well-stocked Times Supermarket and a Foodland. If you are into organic, there are also a couple of great natural food markets with all the hard to find gourmet foods. In Wailea, there are some of the most beautiful golf courses on the planet. And finally, you are only a short drive to the whaling village of Lahaina and to Haleakala National Park, with some of the most spectacular views of the crater and to all sides of the island of Maui. For the adventurous, you can take the winding drive to Hana. You will never run out of things to do in Kihei.

Q2: Why should we rent from you instead of using one of the large vacation rental sites like VRBO or Airbnb?

While our condos are marketed on VRBO and Airbnb, and they provide great service to guests and owners alike, when you book directly with us, you do not incur the additional fees that they charge. In addition, by booking directly with us, particularly if you are a returning guest, we can offer a discounted price on our nightly rates. We also have over 80 excellent reviews from previous guests who have stayed in one of our condos.

Q3: What is the Condo Registration Fee?

This is a fee that is charged by the Home Owner’s Association (HOA) to cover costs associated with checking in each guest, issuing parking passes, and any general administrative assistance. This is a pass through fee that goes directly to the HOA.

Q4: How can I see if the dates are available?

We have tried to give you several paths to check the availability calendar. The header on the Home Page has an Availability link that will show you what dates are booked and what dates are available. You can also click Properties on the header on the Home Page, and you will be taken to the properties where you can click Availability for whichever property you desire. If you scroll down to a property on the Home Page, you can also click Availability. If you put in dates on the Home page and click Search, it will take you to each of the properties where you can click Availability to see the calendar.

Q5: How much are the nightly rates and what time of year is the least expensive?

The nightly rates are determined by the dates that you select. The most expensive time of year, because it is when there is the greatest demand are December through April. January through March is considered whale watching season, and we get a lot of guests coming during that time. The least expense times of the year are typically June through September. After that, the season starts to pick up again. However, anytime of the year is a beautiful time to visit Maui!

Q6: What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel up to 14 days before you scheduled arrival date and receive 100% of you nightly rate charges back. Between 14 and 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival, you will receive 50% of your nightly rate charges back. After that, there is no refund. When you book dates, those dates are locked in so that they are not available for anyone else to book. One solution is to purchase the Travel Insurance so that your trip is protected against covered circumstances.

Q7: Will I need to rent a car?

We recommend renting a car for your stay on Maui. Our condos are located in the beach town of Kihei, which is 11 miles from the Kahului Airport, the main airport on Maui. Although, you can walk or bike to most anywhere in Kihei, you won’t want to miss visiting the Haleakala volcanic crater, driving up to the old whaling village in Lahaina, or if you are really adventurous, taking the drive to Hana. Some people prefer to use Uber or Lyft as well but, it will limit your opportunities to take advantage of all that Maui has to offer.

Q8: Are there any other mandatory fees besides the tax, cleaning fee, and Condo Registration fee that we need to be concerned about?

No other fees are required. Parking is free, Internet access is free, and laundry is free (a washer and dryer unit are in the condo). We even have beach chairs, boogie boards, and snorkeling gear available for free. If you want to play tennis, you may incur a small fee. We recommend that you check with the office management when you check in.

Q9: What is included in the kitchen supplies?

One great thing about renting a vacation condo is that you can save money by cooking and eating in for those meals that are more simple to make. You can save your money for evening meals at one of our incredible local restaurants. However, if you choose, you can use the grills on the property or utilize the kitchen appliances and make a gourmet meal for your own pleasure. We provide all normal kitchen supplies for your use while staying in one of our condos.

Q10: Is it quiet?

Yes, our condos are located across the street from the beach but are on the back of the property away from S. Kihei Rd., the main road going through Kihei.

Q11: How close is the beach?

Our condos are located directly across the street from the beach, an easy walk.
